Sustainability is a word that is often thrown around as a trendy buzzword, but in practice, it doesn’t always have much substance.
For us, sustainability is a verb. It’s something you don’t just preach, but something you actually do. It’s in our DNA, from the coffee corner to the boardroom. You feel it in the design of our offices and in our societal engagement.

Sustainability Inside the Company

When it comes to our employees, we focus on corporate well-being in the broadest sense of the word. What does that look like in practice? We start with our people because a sustainable company begins with happy employees. That’s why we go all in on well-being:

• Ergonomic chairs? Check.
• Flexible working for a better work-life balance? Absolutely.
• Workshops on mental health? Yes, of course.
• Sleep coaching? Why not!

We want you to come to work with a smile and leave feeling energized. Preventing burnout is truly sustainable.

But of course, we also look at the bigger picture. PKF BOFIDI grows and thrives in a broader context, in a society where we owe a lot and where we also want to give back. Nice words again, but we make them real by taking action.

Together, We Make a Difference

Our commitment to societal projects shows that we care not only about the well-being of our employees but also about the world around us, so that we can engage in business and live harmoniously with all stakeholders. We call this ‘doing good, doing well’. Take, for example, projects where we help entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Elise Cuppens, our senior accountant, proudly speaks about one of our most impactful initiatives. “This year, we organized a clothing drive with our company, where we donated 1100 kg of clothing to Mensenzorg VZW.” This drive not only had a significant impact on the people who received the clothing, but it also strengthened our bond as a team because we were able to do something positive together.

We now organize clothing drives every two years.

Our events are also kept as sustainable as possible. For example, our PKF BOFIDIDAG in the heart of Antwerp: right next to the station. Everyone came by train, we enjoyed veggie food, and all our team-building activities were within walking distance. It was a certified climate-neutral event.
